Plumbing, Heating & Air · Rancho Cucamonga, CA · TradeUp client since December 2025

Ramco Plumbing, Heating & Air serves Rancho Cucamonga and the wider Inland Empire, across a trade that is really dozens of separate jobs — slab leaks, hydro jetting, backflow, duct repair, boiler installs.

We took over in December 2025 and pointed the camera at the crew rather than the trucks. That turned out to be the whole trick: one 25-second clip of a single technician reached 6,328 people.

The Challenge

Plumbing and HVAC is bought on trust, and every job is its own search. Ramco needed a page for each of the dozens of services they get called for, and video that made a homeowner comfortable with whoever was about to walk through their door.

Solution

We rebuilt the content around how the work is actually searched. 27 service pages cover everything from tankless water heaters to backflow and ductwork, with 25 articles answering what homeowners ask before they call and three city pages for the surrounding markets.

The video changed direction early. Instead of trucks and logos we put the technicians on camera, by name, talking about the job in their own words — and the format kept working rather than producing one lucky hit.

Sixty videos came out of it: the employee reel series, ten video ads, client testimonials, and brand and process cuts, all shot on site and edited for vertical.

Underneath it all runs the local SEO — weekly Google Business Profile uploads and review responses, new directory citations and ongoing backlink work — which is why the brand now takes the top spot for its own name.

We stopped filming trucks and filmed George.

Of the 60 videos we produced, one stood out: a 25-second clip of a single technician walking through a job, 7,852 views and 21 shares. Homeowners don’t want to see a van. They want to see who’s coming to their house.

The rest of the series held steady.

A breakout hit only matters if the format keeps working. Set the outlier aside and every remaining reel still landed between 400 and 936 views — from an account this size, that’s a system, not a fluke.

Website

Plumbing and HVAC is not one service, it is dozens, and each one is its own search. So the site carries a page for each: 15 plumbing pages covering water heaters, drains and sewer lines, hydro jetting, slab leaks, repiping, gas lines and backflow, and 12 more across cooling, heating, boilers and ductwork.

Twenty-five articles sit behind them, answering what a homeowner types before they are ready to call, and three city pages extend the footprint into Riverside, Fontana and Chino.

Eighty-three pages in total, and the library is doing the ranking: 152 non-branded queries now sit in Google’s top three and 289 are on page one.

The pages that earn the most clicks after the homepage are telling — Meet the Team and Careers both rank on page one, which is what happens when a trade business is willing to show who works there.

Photography

The same instinct that made the video work drives the photography: shoot the people. Our team photographs the technicians on the job — in the crawlspace, on the roof, at the water heater — rather than staging the vans in a car park.

That work feeds the weekly Google Business Profile uploads, which is where a homeowner comparing three local plumbers actually looks, and it fills the monthly social calendar alongside the reels.

It also stocks the service pages. A page about hydro jetting is more convincing with a photograph of Ramco doing hydro jetting on it.

  • Ramco project photo — a Ramco Plumbing Sprinter van in the black, red and stars-and-stripes wrap, parked alongside the rest of the fleet

Video Production

Sixty videos in nine months, and the important decision was made early: stop filming trucks and film the crew. Technicians appear by name, talking about the job they are standing in front of, in their own words.

One of them broke out — a 25-second clip that took 7,852 views, reached 6,328 people and was shared 21 times, producing more than eight hours of watch time from twenty-five seconds of footage.

The format held. Set that outlier aside and every other reel in the series still landed between 400 and 936 views, which is the difference between a lucky post and a system. Reels average 1,435 views against 902 for photo posts on the same account over the same ninety days.

Around the series sit ten video ads, client testimonials and brand and process cuts, all reused across the website, the Google Business Profile and paid social.

Graphic Design

Ramco has something most trade businesses do not: a character. The ram in the navy work shirt anchors every graphic we make, and he does a job no stock photograph can — he is recognisable at thumbnail size, he never ages out, and he lets the brand be warm about work that is usually sold on fear.

The graphics split between the season and the objection. Some catch the calendar: summer’s coming, is your AC ready, book the tune-up before the heat hits. Others answer the thing a homeowner is actually nervous about — the price we quote is the price you pay, no hidden fees, ever; every tool, every answer, so you never wait twice.

The trust marks ride along on the artwork rather than in the caption, where nobody reads them: 24/7 service, licensed and insured, 100% satisfaction, and the phone number in type big enough to read from a scrolling thumb.

It all matches the fleet. The wrapped truck that turns up at the house is the same navy, the same ram, the same logo lockup as the post that got them to call — which is the entire reason a neighbourhood starts recognising a contractor.

  • Ramco social graphic — the Ramco ram mascot standing with folded arms beside an air-conditioning condenser under a blazing sun, over the headline “Summer’s coming. Is your AC ready?” with 24/7 service, licensed and insured and 100% satisfaction badges
  • Ramco social graphic — the ram mascot offering a handshake beside an invoice reading “quoted price = final price”, over the headline “The price we quote is the price you pay. No hidden fees. No surprises. Ever.”
  • Ramco social graphic — the ram mascot at a workbench laid out with a pipe wrench, press tool and inspection camera, over the headline “Every tool. Every answer. We come prepared so you never wait twice.”
  • Ramco social graphic — a split scene of a sweltering red-lit house beside a cool blue one with the ram mascot, over the headline “Is your AC losing the battle?” and the phone number 909-466-4600
  • Ramco social graphic — the wrapped Ramco pickup parked on a Rancho Cucamonga street, over the headline “If you see our truck in your neighborhood, we’re already on it.”

We put the crew on camera: the technicians who show up at the door became the reason people call, and a page for every job they get called for was waiting when those people went looking.
